Donna Brannon – Q1 Award Winner
Donna earned the Sentinel Way award for her dedication to clients and for making processes smooth for advisors: “They actually ask for Donna by name when they bring in new clients!” She goes above and beyond, stays on top of projects and initiatives, communicates effectively, and shares her expertise with others. Finally, her positive attitude and excitement through all interactions were recognized and appreciated.
We live in the city but we are fortunate to have a little house in the country where my family goes to relax and our dogs Blu & Ruby get to run free, even though there is always work to do!

Howie Magid – Q2 Award Winner
Howie earned the Sentinel Way award for his service in daily interactions and diligence with a large, multi-contact client. Howie’s nomination states “This type of support and service requires a solid foundation of the Sentinel Way and Howie’s got it! Thanks to Howie for all he does.”
I enjoy spending time with family and rooting for the New York Rangers and New York Jets.

Kelly Cain – Q3 Award Winner
Kelly earned the Sentinel Way award for her work with a client amid many moving parts. Kelly was recognized for taking initiative, organizing details and providing consultative services to the client. Her nominator also highlighted her "detailed, diligent, and expert work!”
I am an avid concert goer. My husband and I love music! We attend at least 3 - 4 concerts a year, sometimes more… many more!
I love the culture and collaboration of our teams here at Sentinel. You never feel like you are in it alone. It’s amazing to have that kind of support.

Dave Peters – Q4 Award Winner
Dave earned the Sentinel Way award for his quick after-hours work to help troubleshoot printing errors and prepare materials for an important client meeting. He was praised for his "action to help us out off-hours and get the job done, without complaint.”
In my free time I like to go for walks, lift weights, travel and read books on WW2 or science fiction. During the pandemic, while everyone was making bread I picked up the hobby of repairing retro video game consoles and toying around with CRT TVs (the TVs that look like boxes).
At the risk of sounding cliché, the people within the company and helping them be the best they can be. It’s something I didn’t know I missed from my helpdesk days until I transitioned to managing TAC.

This quarterly award is presented to an individual or a team who have had a significant impact on Sentinel and/or our clients.
Jay Cirame & AnnMarie Dever – Q1 Award Winners
Jay and AnnMarie were nominated for the Impact Player Award for their work on three key initiatives: SECURE 2.0, a major piece of legislation that impacted the majority of Sentinel’s retirement plan clients (Jay and AnnMarie hosted an internal webinar and served as resources for Sentinel’s plan consultants), developing a streamlined process for Plan Amendment Workflow Requests, and refreshing Statement of Work Updates.

What I like most about working at Sentinel is the flexibility I’ve had to grow my career and build on each opportunity I’ve been given. In 14 years, I have worked in three different departments and gone back to school to get my law degree – at every phase I learned a valuable skill that has helped get me to where I am today.

Ryan Ransford – Q2 Award Winner
Ryan was nominated for the Impact Player Award for his willingness to jump in and partner on initiatives beyond his sales responsibilities. He was commended for his calm, respectful demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues, along with his collaboration with the retirement advisory team and partnership in internal operational groups.
I am a big sports fan and enjoy staying active as much as I can. Golf and basketball have always been my two sports passions throughout my life and was lucky enough to play both throughout high school. I still play golf today (although never as much as I would like) and use to play in the CT state amateur tournaments when I was younger.
The people I get to work with on a daily basis, including various companies and organizations as well as colleagues at Sentinel. The great thing about Sentinel is the exposure all employees have to the leadership team. It is very much a collaborative environment. For my role personally, I love being able to work with all types of businesses and organizations and it keeps things very fun and exciting. Getting to know how a business was started and the history of their work and culture makes every meeting very interesting, you can see the excitement and pride of the organization come to life.

Hatta Hall – Q3 Award Winner
Despite only being at Sentinel for six short months, Hatta earned the Impact Player Award for identifying an innovative solution to a system limitation for her team. According to her nominator, “Thanks to Hatta’s idea, we rewrote our existing process and has allowed a host of downstream improvements”.
I have an innate love for exploring the diverse corners of the planet, immersing myself in new cultures and experiences. One of my aspirations is to set foot in each of the seven wonders of the world, seeking to witness firsthand the awe-inspiring creations that have stood the test of time. This passion for travel fuels my curiosity and deepens my appreciation for the beauty and marvels that our world has to offer.
It is a privilege to work in such a nurturing and supportive environment, where everyone is invested in each other's success. I greatly appreciate the open-minded atmosphere that encourages brainstorming and allows for the freedom to discuss and question existing workflows, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. I’m genuinely excited to dig down and lean into my new role, embracing the opportunities for growth and contributing my best to the team.

Kim Pepoli – Q4 Award Winner
Kim was nominated for this award by a new team member who was impressed by Kim’s thorough training, diligence with special requests, and preparedness. She is described as “totally indispensable” to the team!
I love cheering on our New England sports teams. I went to a Celtics game just a month ago and plan to go see the Bruins play next week at the TD Garden!
No matter what department an employee works in, someone is always willing to lend you a helping hand. The people who work at Sentinel Group are truly what I enjoy most about working here.

John A. Carnevale Leadership Award
Presented to one individual who has had a significant impact on Sentinel over the year and demonstrates exemplary performance, is driven, dedicated, and upholds our values.
Dave Peters – John A. Carnevale Leadership Award Winner 2023
Dave was a two-time winner in Q4 2023. In addition to earning the Sentinel Way award, he also earned the 2023 John A. Carnevale Excellence & Leadership Award. Dave was nominated by CEO Sam Mitchell for redeploying the Technical Assistance Center team to help the entire Sentinel population with technical issues quickly and efficiently. He was also recognized for the key part he played in Sentinel’s 2023 rebranding, for his teamwork, and for being a “self-starter” who is always looking for ways to improve.
