Record Retention Policy
Our organization adheres to a strict record retention policy that requires maintaining records for a minimum of five (5) years. These records include documentation of participation, program dates and locations, author/instructor and reviewer credentials (including licensure details for CPAs, tax attorneys, and enrolled agents), CPE credits earned by participants, program evaluations, and program descriptive materials.

These policies are reviewed annually and updated as necessary to address changes in regulations, standards, or organizational needs.
Program Cancellation Policy
Sentinel Group is committed to providing clear and timely communication in the event of a program cancellation. Every effort will be made to conduct professional development programs sponsored by Sentinel Group that have been advertised. In the unlikely event that such a program needs to be cancelled for any reason, Sentinel Group will notify all registered participants via email, letter or phone of the cancellation and will issue them a full refund. Additional notices of the program cancellation will be made through appropriate means such as Association website, newsletter, or broadcast email.
Complaint Resolution Policy
Sentinel Group is committed to ensuring a high-quality experience for all participants. We take complaints seriously and strive to resolve them in a timely and fair manner.
We will review all complaints promptly and work toward a resolution that aligns with our commitment to excellence.
This policy follows CPE Standards Reference: Standard No. 12 to ensure transparency and accountability in our complaint resolution process. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.
Course Update Policy
All courses administered by Sentinel Group include the most recent publication, revision, or review date and are updated before future sessions to reflect any changes in relevant codes, laws, rulings, or interpretations. For group live and group internet-based programs, the revision or review date corresponds to the event date. This policy aligns with CPE Standards Reference: Standard No. 4 to ensure course content remains accurate and up to date.
Program content and knowledge level equate to background of intended participants.
Sentinel Group ensures that program content and knowledge levels align with participants' backgrounds by specifying the course level—basic, intermediate, advanced, overview, or update—in all course materials. Prerequisite education, experience, and advanced preparation requirements are explicitly stated for intermediate, advanced, and update courses in accordance with CPE Standards References: Standard Nos. 2 and 3.
Content and delivery system(s) are current, effectively designed and accurate.
Sentinel Group ensures that all course content and delivery systems are current, accurate, and effectively designed by engaging subject matter experts with demonstrated expertise through education and/or practical experience. Courses are updated promptly to reflect changes in relevant codes, laws, rulings, and interpretations, with subjects undergoing frequent changes reviewed annually by a qualified expert and run through our compliance program. This policy aligns with CPE Standards Reference: Standard No. 4 to maintain the highest quality and relevance of educational offerings.
Content is developed by a subject matter expert and reviewed by qualified persons outside of the development team.
Sentinel Group ensures that all program content is developed by subject matter experts and reviewed by qualified individuals outside the development team before initial presentation and following any significant revisions. This policy aligns with CPE Standards Reference: Standard No. 5 to uphold accuracy, compliance, and professional integrity in all educational offerings.

Sentinel Group ensures that all programs are based on clearly defined learning objectives and outcomes, which articulate the knowledge, skills, and abilities participants will gain. At the end of each program, participants will have a clear understanding of what they can achieve, including specific skills or knowledge they can apply in their professional development. This policy aligns with CPE Standards Reference: Standard No. 2 to ensure that all programs deliver meaningful and measurable learning results.
Provide a written description of the monitoring mechanism used to track active participant engagement during the program.
Sentinel Group ensures that all group internet-based programs, including those hosted on Zoom, utilize a reporting and monitoring mechanism to verify active participant engagement throughout the program. This policy aligns with CPE Standards Reference: Standard No. 16
